“Rivetti & Lauro” winery

"Rivetti&Lauro" is an ambitious brainchild. The Valtellina vineyards have centuries of history and tradition. They are the largest terraced wine-growing area in the Italian mountains. A place where Nebbiolo is produced, a great vine for a wine of noble and extraordinary quality. Starting from this tradition we introduce new organic and biodynamic growing techniques, in harmony with the mountain environment. We are growing new species of vine, whose fruits meet and intensify the quality and generosity of Nebbiolo. A hard work in the vineyards bears great wines.

"Rivetti&Lauro" only harvests grapes by hand, collecting the best grapes into boxes. We want to maintain the homogeneity of the product based on the originating vines. After an accurate selection, the grapes are vinified in small tanks and then refined in French oak barrels, tonneaux and barriques. Our wine reminds the scent and characteristics of our territory.

"Rivetti&Lauro" has begun its adventure by bottling wines with a strong character and full of modernity to tell our passion and the story of our land. Wines that comes from the DOCG areas of Inferno, Sassella, Valgella, and Tirano.

At dawn, in late winter, was our first beating of wings, when our flight started.

Our territory is in Lombardy, next to the Swiss border and by the sides of Como Lake. The beautiful town of Tirano, where our cellars are located, can be reached by train or by car from Como Lake and it is on the way to important tourist resorts such as Saint Moritz, Bormio and Livigno.

Our vineyards are at different altitudes in the areas of Sassella, Inferno, Valgella, and in the surroundings of Tirano. To each Vine its own Wine.
